What's coming to BirdieLab

Native apps in the App Store and Google Play — so your players can download BirdieLab just like any other app. Full hole-by-hole scoring, game plans, and stats on their phone.

Hole maps with GPS distances right inside the app — so players can see the layout, pick their target, and know exactly how far they are from the pin. Requires licensed course map data; planned for a future version once we have the scale to justify it.

Players score hole-by-hole during a qualifying round and coaches watch the leaderboard update in real time — no waiting for rounds to be submitted. Supports Average and Best X of Y scoring methods, qualifying spots, required round minimums, and optional push notification nudges for players who haven't started. A green Playing badge shows who's on the course right now.

Optionally pair players during qualifying rounds so each player scores their partner's card — not their own. Scores must match before a round is submitted, flagging any discrepancies for a coach to review. Brings a rules-of-golf approach to qualifying integrity without adding administrative overhead.

If a course isn't in BirdieLab's database, just snap a photo of the scorecard before your round and we'll set it up automatically — hole yardages, pars, and all. No manual entry needed. Just confirm and you're ready to play.

A shared program calendar for practices, tournaments, travel, and team events. Coaches create events with an optional acknowledgment requirement — players tap 'Got it' to confirm. Supports weekly and biweekly recurring events with per-occurrence or all-future editing. Upcoming events appear on every player's Performance Board and in the Team tab so the whole program stays aligned without group texts.

A dedicated message board inside BirdieLab with topic threads — so team conversations stay organized and out of your personal text chain. Coaches can pin important topics and players can stay in the loop.

Import rounds directly from GHIN and sync with Golf Genius tournament results — so your players never have to enter the same data twice.

AI analysis woven into every part of the coaching workflow. After every round, an AI Round Summary explains what actually happened in plain English — scoring patterns, stat anomalies, what to focus on next. Every Monday, coaches receive a Weekly Coach Digest summarising the past week's activity across the full roster. The Alerts page includes AI Observations: a one-sentence, data-driven pattern observation per player refreshed daily. And when a player is about to tee off, an AI Game Plan generates course-specific strategy based on their full history at that course — available right inside the scorecard.

Upload and tag swing video directly to a player's profile. Link video to specific rounds and stats so you can connect what you see on the range to what shows up in the data.
